Writing Our Own Story

To continue on with our reading of 'There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Shell' we made our own books today. There were two different pages students could complete, I passed them out to students and with the help of Mr. Matt, a parent volunteer, we were able to fill in the blanks to create our own story. Once finished all of our papers were combined to create a class book! Here are some pictures of the work some students completed.

There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Shell

This month the featured book in the monthly newsletter was 'There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Shell'. Throughout the year we have been working on sequencing. On Monday of this week the students sequenced the events from the story on a sentence strip. The students did an AWESOME job putting the events in order! Here are some pictures of the project.
